The short version:
• Try everything free for 14 days. If you like it, a $15 one-time license makes it yours.
• One license = one person, on as many of your own devices as you like. Free updates.
• Orders are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record — 30-day money-back guarantee.
• DevFob controls powerful things (your terminal sessions, your Mac's sleep). Use it on machines you own, and read the in-app warnings.
1. Who we are
DevFob ("DevFob", "we", "us") is software published by the DevFob project. You can reach us at hello@devfob.com. By downloading, installing, or buying DevFob you agree to these terms.
2. What DevFob is
DevFob lets you monitor and respond to AI coding-agent sessions (such as Claude Code and Codex) running on your own Mac, from that Mac's menu bar and notch and from the free companion apps for iPhone, Apple Watch, Android, and Wear OS. DevFob is an independent product: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, Apple, or Google.
3. Trial and license
- Trial. DevFob for Mac is fully functional for 14 days from first launch, free, no account or card required. When the trial ends, remote access and paid features pause until a license is entered; your sessions and data are never touched.
- License. A DevFob for Mac license is a one-time purchase for one person. It never expires, includes updates at no extra charge, and may be used on any Macs and paired devices that you personally own and use. It is not a subscription.
- What you may not do. Don't share, resell, or publish your license key; don't circumvent the licensing; a license is for one person's own Macs and paired devices. We may decline to honor keys that have been leaked or resold.
- Companion apps. The iPhone, Apple Watch, Android, and Wear OS apps are free and remain free; they connect to a Mac running DevFob.
4. Purchases
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: Paddle provides the checkout, processes your payment, issues your invoice or receipt, and handles applicable sales taxes and VAT. Your payment details go to Paddle, never to us — see our privacy policy for exactly what we receive. Purchases made through Paddle are also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
5. Refunds

6. Your responsibilities
DevFob is a power tool: it can answer prompts in, send instructions to, and terminate coding-agent sessions, and it can keep your Mac awake — including with the lid closed, if you explicitly enable Nomad mode. You agree to:
- use DevFob only on machines and accounts you own or are authorized to control;
- review the in-app warnings before enabling lid-closed keep-awake (sustained heat and battery drain are real physical effects, and macOS cannot fully protect a Mac in a closed bag);
- remain responsible for what your coding agents do — DevFob relays your decisions to them, it does not make decisions for you;
- comply with the terms of the third-party tools you drive through DevFob (e.g. Claude Code, Codex) and with applicable law.
7. Privacy
The DevFob apps have no accounts, no analytics, and no servers of ours; your session data moves only between your own paired devices, end-to-end encrypted. The website keeps anonymous, first-party purchase-funnel counts, enumerated in full in the privacy policy. The complete policy is at devfob.com/privacy.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
DevFob is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that DevFob will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will remain compatible with future versions of macOS, iOS, Android, or the third-party agent tools it observes, or that keep-awake will prevent sleep in every hardware and power condition. Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights that your local law grants you as a consumer and that cannot be waived.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to DevFob is limited to the amount you paid for your license, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost data, lost profits, hardware wear from keep-awake use you enabled, or the actions of coding agents you directed.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as DevFob evolves; the date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect. Continuing to use DevFob after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may also update or discontinue features — your license remains valid for the versions released while we offer the product.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Your purchase contract with Paddle is governed by Paddle's buyer terms. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
